Emma Hewitt is an Australian singer-songwriter who is currently based in Los Angeles. In 2008, Hewitt was the lead singer of the Australian rock band, Missing Hours, with whom she released a debut album through Sony Music Australia. However, the band she formed with her brother Anthony is no longer active because both siblings now live in Los Angeles and are working as songwriters of electronic dance music.
Emma Hewitt not only has experience creating vocal trance, house, and electronic dance music, but she’s also experienced in rock music. Her first single, “Carry Me Away” was a collaboration with British DJ Chris Lake and the single managed to reach number 11 in the Spanish singles charts as well and also reached number 12 in Finland. The single spent a total of 50 weeks in the Billboard Hot Dance Airplay charts in the US and reached number 1 in December of 2007.
Emma has worked with a numerous amount of electronic music stars such as Armin van Buuren, Dash Berlin, Cosmic Gate, Gareth Emery, and BT. She was also nominated twice in the Best Trance Track category “Waiting” and “Not Enough Time”.
