RECIPES: Boston Cream Pie Minis

Today’s Belleza Moda post is going to be a dessert recipe on how to make Boston Cream Pie Minis. These are great if you need to pack a sweet little snack for your child, or even as desserts when you’re having a dinner party, or even just for a guilty pleasure treat every once in a while. This desert can be found on Kraft Canada as well as many other simple and easy dessert recipes.

Boston Cream Pie Minis

Prep Time: 15 Minutes

Total Time: 1 hour, 31 minutes

Servings: 24 servings, 1 cupcake (55 g) each


  • 1 package (2-layer size) yellow cake mix
  • 1 package (4 serving size) of Jell-O Vanilla Instant Pudding
  • 1 cup of cold milk
  • 1-1/2 cups of thawed Cool Whip Whipped Topping, divided
  • 4 oz. (1/2 of 225 g pkg.) Baker’s Semi-Sweet Chocolate


  1. Heat the oven to 350 ºF
  2. Prepare the cake batter
  3. Bake in 24 paper-lined muffin cups (as directed on package)
  4. Cool cupcakes in the pan for 10 minutes
  5. Remove to wire racks to cool completely
  6. WHILE COOLING, beat pudding mix and milk into medium bowl with whisk (for about 2 minutes)
  7. Stir in 1/2 cup of Cool Whip and refrigerate until ready to use
  8. Cut cupcakes horizontally in half
  9. Spoon 1 tablespoon of pudding mixture onto bottom half of each cupcake, then cover it with the cupcake top
  10. Microwave the remaining cool whip and chocolate in small microwaveable bowl until chocolate is almost melted, stirring after 1 minute
  11. Stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well-blended
  12. Spread onto cupcakes
  13. Refrigerate for 15 minutes
  14. Then you’re ready to serve them or eat them!
