RECIPES: Sweet Dessert Panini

Today’s recipe can be found on Food Network and is created by the lovely Paula Deen. For those of you with a sugar craving, this sweet panini will satisfy that craving right away. It’s perfect for a nice afternoon snack to share with your loved ones, or a late night guilty pleasure snack.

Preparations

Prep Time: 5 Minutes

Cook Time: 5 Minutes

Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of Hazelnut Spread
  • 8 slices of white bread, cut 1/2 inch thick
  • 2 bananas, sliced lengthwise
  • 16 marshmallows, cut in halves
  • Butter, softened
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Directions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-low
  2. Heat the hazel-nut spread so that it lightly coats the back of a spoon
  3. Spread all slices of bread with a thin layer of hazelnut spread
  4. Apply banana slices to 4 pieces of bread and marshmallows to the remaining 4 pieces
  5. Take 1 slice with banana and 1 with marshmallows and press them together
  6. Repeat until all slices are used
  7. Apply a light layer of butter to each side of the sandwiches
  8. Place each sandwich in the pre-heated grill for 2 minutes per side
  9. Once cooked, cut each sandwich in half on thediagnol
  10. Put sandwiches on a plate and dust with powdered sugar (optional)
