FASHION: Featuring Elsien Gringhuis

Today’s feature is an inside look on Elsien Gringhuis’ designs. They were shown in Berlin’s 2015 GREENshowroom fashion show and captivated the audience with their strong lines and avant-garde designs. With stores based in Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, and even Abu Dhabi, this fashion powerhouse is definitely going to be the next to take the world by storm. Their whole design concept is focusing on sustainability in fashion and making sure to use eco-friendly materials that people can be happy about using. Due to Elsien Gringhuis’ emphasis on quality, all of the pieces are extremely long-lasting. Another one of their main concepts is to reduce the maximum amount of waste while creating the most innovative designs as possible.

Not only is the label cutting edge and modern, Elsien herself has graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts from Arnhem (ArtEZ). She has also won the Createurope design award in Berlin, the Mittelmoda award in Italy, and was a nominee for the Frans Molenaar-award. Her first collection was presented in 2009 at Amsterdam Fashion Week and in 2011 she won the Green Fashion Competition followed by the Fair Luxury Award in 2012. This list of accomplishments is just a small testament to how innovative and creative her pieces are.
